Our agricultural shareholder

VION Food Group’s (VION N.V.) only shareholder has a farming background: the Zuidelijke Land- en tuinbouworganisatie ZLTO (Dutch Southern Agricultural and Horticultural Farmers Union) which has 18,000 members. This shareholder is closely linked with the association of the agricultural business in the Southern Netherlands (ZLTO). For ZLTO, VION is a strategic participant that acts in the interests of its members on the long term. The formal authority and direct influence are organised in such a way that both the interests of the company and shareholder are protected.

Although VION Food Group is a large enterprise, it is not a listed company but it recognizes that it has many social interests. As a result, VION Food Group adheres to the Corporate Governance Code that listed companies have a legal obligation to meet.

VION Holding N.V. is a Dutch closed public liability company. The company is managed by a Board of Management under supervision of an independent Board of Commissioners.
